The First Day Back

Do you remember the first day of school when you were in elementary school? You got to wear your new shoes and show off your new haircut. Also I got a choice of a red, white or navy shirt to go with my classy navy pants or if i wanted a plaid jumper. The first day of school always was so nerve wracking for me. It all seemed so stressful and insane. The teachers were always so welcoming and everyone got to share their cool vacation stories and a little bit about themselves to ease the jitters of the day. Then would come the overview of the year and some horrible ice breaker games. Well today was like a first day of school for me. It was the first day of an exciting semester. I was nervous and excited. While I was not wearing new shoes or a new outfit. Um oh wait I could not even brush my hair because I left my brush at home even though i am fairly certain that I left it here over break. Sometimes the school year would start out a little bumpy and then smooth out as the year went along. I hope that this semester does the same. I forgot my cell phone, calendar, coffee and brush at home. I hope that I can recover from this rough gravel road and transition onto a freshly paved road that is totally smooth. You may be wondering "What the hell is your point Natasha?" I am wondering the same thing. I have no idea what the point of this little speech is about. so... moving on i will give you my goals for this semester.

Goals:
4.0 GPA-- This has been a goal of mine ever since freshman year of high school and I have gotten so so close to reaching it but never done it. This is the semester.
Learn to play the guitar better.

OMG OMG OMG I never told you about the guitar.

So for Christmas all i put on my list was a guitar and a Spanish/English Dictionary. I was really bratty and told my mom that she should not even bother to buy me gifts if it was not on my list. So Christmas morning I wake up and walk to the living room with all of the other kids (there are only 3 other kids that made it sound like i was 1 of 20 or something) and this year each person opened their gifts all together instead of it being a free for all. So my youngest brother opens all of his presents then my sister opens hers. She has less than Ian (the youngest) so i was getting worried because 1. there was not a package shaped like a guitar and 2. i did not see one shaped like a large book. I did see a piggy bank that i had wanted forever but that was it. So then Dylan opens his and he gets a nano and something else. then it comes time for me. My mom hands me the piggy bank and says merry Christmas. Then she hands me the one gift left under the tree that i know is not for my parents. (I mean they got gifts but the kids have their own special wrapping paper so my parent's was wrapped in different paper) I opened that and was happy to see that hary potter book with the children's story. Then she told me to shut my eyes. I did and when i opened them there was a guitar sitting in front of me. I was so happy that i was seriously crying. That is not really a big deal because i cry over everything so whatever. but yeah i got that guitar. I also learned how to play Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash because i just love him. Ok now i have to get some work done.
